Functional Capacity Evaluation (FCE)

At Physio@Work® we conduct examinations that assess an individual’s physical and functional capabilities. Our FCE provides objective information that can be compared to the physical demands of a job or another functional activity and cab be used to make return-to-work decsisions, disability determinations or to generate a rehabilitation program.

Work Conditioning

Physio@Work® provides programs designed to comprehensively rehabilitate the injured worker to a physical level that allows full duty return to work. Our approach involves a solid team effort including the treating physician, employer and the insurance representative to return the client to productive employment in a cost effective and efficient manner. Physio@Work®

Post Offer/Pre-Placement Testing

This comprehensive assessment identifies individuals who have cardiovascular and/or musculoskeletal limitations and who may be in imminent risk of injury, and whether an individual is able to perform the essential physical functions of a particular job. Physio@Work® conducts post offer screenings that establish a baseline profile on an employee to aid in their rehabilitation should they become injured. At Physio@Work®, our testing program is specifically designed to meet the standards of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC).

Job Site Analysis

Our Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) based quantitative assessment of the work environment describes the duties, physical demands and the work conditions of a particular job. It can be used to identify essential job functions and to assist employers in the development of detailed job descriptions and modified duty programs. Physio@Work®

Ergonomic Analysis

Our Physio@Work® program will provide a trained clinician to conduct an ergonomic assessment of the individual’s workstation, generating a detailed report which identifies hazards and workstation modifications.

    Industrial Evaluation consists of:
  • Weighing and measuring materials
  • Assessing workstation design
  • Assessing employee’s tools
  • Taking pictures of employee’s body mechanics/posture
  • Measuring all physical demands of the job
    Office Evaluation consists of:
  • Analyzing employee’s workstation design and layout
  • Assessing employee’s body mechanics and posture
  • Assessing employee’s input device(s)

Physio@Work®

Injury Prevention Programs

Our injury prevention programs offer a Work Risk Analysis that provides an OSHA-based qualitative report of a specific job identifying real and potential risk factors for musculoskeletal disorders and injuries. Physio@Work®'s written reports identify ergonomic risks, worker behaviors/habits, claims patterns and offer a plan of prevention/corrective recommendations.
